We
have been farmers since 1900. First prunes, then walnuts and now
grapes. We have farmed organically since the 50’s. Today a
new winery stands in the middle of our Dolcetto vineyard. A family
of barn owls lives in a box we erected adjacent the creek watershed.
Bat and bird boxes are also in the vineyard and a giant blue heron
along with ducks, coots, frogs, fish and turtles live in our vineyard
pond. The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon, the second release by brothers
Jim Del Bondio and Rich Poncia proved once again the allegiance
they have to sustainable agriculture. "We continue to believe
through more work, the gift the vine gives back is truly worth it.
We continue to farm organically and are proud to be Certified Organic
Farmers." |

Our 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon has silky integrated tannin, hearty
in flavor and body, with an extensivedepth black cherries, currant
and licorice. Exquisitely balanced and woven together with a
smooth lingering finish that makes this wine extremely memorable.
No blending of variety has really shown through with the true
flavors of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Vineyard Location:
